The Can Cet Foundation supports the development of meditation and the values of the New Kadampa Tradition as part of its commitment to fostering personal growth in our society. To this end, it has recently allocated its resources to the Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Center Lamrim in the city of Valladolid.

This urban meditation center, which will offer sessions, study programs, and meditation retreats, is part of the NKT-IKBU, and since September 2024 has been working on the project to adapt a new space located at Plaza Portugalete 4. The Can Cet Foundation has contributed to the renovation of the building’s facade, improving access, thermal insulation, visibility, and design, but also incorporating an emergency exit. This contribution enables the new center to begin its activities for the benefit of those who already practice meditation or who wish to discover a space and method to improve their well-being.

The area of influence of the Valladolid meditation center’s activities primarily encompasses the province of Valladolid, but it is already expanding its reach to the provinces of León and Salamanca and aims to extend its influence to the rest of the provinces of Castilla León. Hundreds of people visit the Kadampa Center of Valladolid every year, and with the acquisition of the new commercial premises in the city, it will not only attract people to participate in courses and retreats to learn how to cultivate inner peace, but it will also be open to everyone as a welcoming place to relax, share, or read in its new café, “Café de la Paz” (Peace Café), which will also be part of the World Peace International Temples Project.
